The port of Le Havre, located on the French North coast is ideally situated as the gateway to Paris and the industrial north. Its situation, close to the main shipping routes through the channel ensures its position as France’s largest container port. The entire complex is rail linked with direct access to the Seine by barge to & from the Paris conurbation Generale de Manutention Portuaire (GMP), a joint venture between DP World and CMA-CGM, operates three terminals in Le Havre.

The Terminal de France is the prime operation, situated outside the locks and is a state of the art terminal already under further phases of expansion, capable of handling the largest vessels in service now and even bigger types about to enter service in the coming years.

The Quai de l’Europe & The Quai des Ameriques are both within the locks and offer more traditional capacity, together with CFS capacity, general cargo and RORO activity. All the terminals are connected to allow inter-service relay.

The Terminal de France together with DP World’s other major developments in Antwerp, London and Rotterdam will, in the coming years, enable shipping lines to have a network of outstanding new state of the art facilities for their European coastal routing.
